A New Kind of Networking is Brewing…
If you’ve ever felt like you didn’t quite fit in at “regular” networking groups, where your values weren’t understood, your voice was overlooked, or you just couldn’t connect, you’re not alone.
That’s why we’re launching Muslim Women’s Business Network: a space where faith and ambition sit side by side, where belonging fuels success, and where your business is celebrated, not sidelined.
Here, you’ll find:
Women who share your values and your drive
Genuine referrals (not cold, awkward sales pitches)
Skills, visibility, and confidence to grow your business
A circle that actually feels like home
And to kick things off, we’re starting right where it all began in Manchester. Our very first Coffee Morning will launch here on Monday 10th November, gathering ambitious Muslim women for an inspiring taste of what this network is all about.
But Manchester is just the beginning. With hybrid meetups and plans to branch into other cities and online groups, MWBN is built for Muslim women across the UK and beyond. Wherever you’re based, your interest now helps shape where we grow next.

Meet the founders
Zehra jagani
Zehra is a businesswoman, mentor, and creative entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience building her brand into a successful business and working with clients across the UK and internationally. Her work has been featured in leading publications including Sky News, Daily Mail, and Hello Magazine PK, establishing her as a trusted voice in her industry and making her sought after with clients.
Her journey, however, has not been an easy one. As an Asian, Muslim, hijabi woman working in a male-dominated industry, Zehra has faced challenges of representation, belonging, and visibility. Often the only one in the room who looked like her, she knows firsthand how isolating it can feel to carve a path when the spaces around you aren’t built for you.
MWBN was born from that experience. Determined to create what she wished she’d had at the start of her journey, Zehra has co-founded MWBN, to give Muslim women in business a place where they could belong, be seen, and be celebrated. A network that breaks barriers, champions collaboration, and opens doors to opportunity so no woman has to build her business alone, question her values and identity or struggle to seek the knowledge to grow a business.
isra altayar
Isra is a coach, holistic therapist, and mentor with a powerful journey of transformation at the heart of her work. Once a quiet and reserved young woman who struggled with confidence, she has gone on to build a career dedicated to helping others unlock their potential and live in alignment with their values.
After earning her psychology degree and embracing motherhood as her greatest role, Isra reached a turning point in her life that led her to discover coaching, NLP, and holistic therapeutic practices. What began as a search for her own purpose has grown into a mission to guide others toward clarity, confidence, and fulfilment.
With years of experience and a proven track record in helping individuals unlock their potential, Isra has become known for creating accessible, transformational spaces that bring women together to grow in confidence and purpose. Alongside her coaching and therapeutic work, she is regularly invited to speak at events, deliver keynotes, and share her insights on podcasts, amplifying her message to wider audiences and inspiring women to step into their own power.
She co-founded MWBN to meet a need she has seen time and again in her own journey and through her work: a space for Muslim women in business to belong, to connect, and to thrive without compromise. MWBN is the network she wished had existed earlier and now, she is passionate about building it for others.
