A network is only as useful as the range of people and expertise within it.
When a member needs an events planner for her launch, a travel agent to sort out her family's Umrah, or a tutoring company for her children's exam year, the best possible answer is "I know someone, let me introduce you."
The more professions represented within a network, the more opportunities there are to make those connections, support one another and open doors that might otherwise remain closed.
And that's exactly why we're looking to welcome more businesses into MWBN.
One seat per profession
MWBN works on a one-seat-per-profession model. Each member is accepted to represent her profession in the network, so there's only one accountant, one mortgage advisor, one brand photographer, and so on.
We do it this way for a simple reason. When you're the only person in the room who does what you do, you have the opportunity to establish yourself as the trusted person within the field. Other members have the opportunity to really get to know you, understand your expertise and build the trust that makes referrals more meaningful. You become the person they naturally think of when someone needs the services you offer!
As our network grows, so does the range of people, services and expertise that members can confidently recommend to others.
And because we have one seat per profession, availability is limited. If your profession isn't currently represented, we'd love to hear from you.
Who we'd love to welcome
We're really keen to connect with women who are passionate about their businesses, committed to growing and recognise the value of building genuine professional relationships.
So, whether you're a physiotherapist with a busy practice, a videographer who loves bringing brands to life, a modest fashion boutique owner with a loyal customer base, or someone running a nursery that families in your community have come to trust.
Whatever your profession, the knowledge, experience and connections you bring could be exactly what another woman in the room needs. And equally, the people you meet may be able to support your own business in ways you hadn't anticipated. Your fellow members can be your favourite salespersons!
Some of the professions we'd particularly love to welcome include:
Events and celebrations: Event planners, wedding and nikah planners, venue owners and event decorators.
Travel: Travel agents, particularly those specialising in Umrah and Hajj.
Education and childcare: Tutoring companies, nursery owners and childminders.
Health and wellbeing: Physiotherapists, massage therapists, nutritionists and dentists.
Creative and professional services: Videographers, printing companies, graphic designers, solicitors and legal professionals.
Retail: Modest fashion boutiques, abaya and hijab brands, and gift businesses.
This is by no means an exhaustive list. There are so many other professions we'd love to see represented, so if yours isn't mentioned, please don't let that stop you from getting in touch.
Why it's worth your time
Running a business can be exciting and rewarding, but it can also feel lonely at times. Having a network of experienced like-minded women who understand the challenges, celebrate your successes and genuinely want to see you grow can make all the difference to your journey.
At MWBN you get that, alongside a structure that actually produces results. Every month there's a one-minute round where you make a clear ask, small groups of three where you give and receive practical help, a member spotlight, an educational spot led by a member, and accountability on the commitments you made last time. Referrals come from women who genuinely know your business, not from a name badge.
